Ready to get in shape this year?

Join us for Zumba Fitness classes! Every Tuesday and Thursday in the Chess Center Social Hall from 5:00p to 6:00p.

“Zumba Fitness® is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music and contagious steps to form a "fitness-party" that is downright addictive”.

No prior dance or workout experience required. Shoes must be worn and tennis shoes with little traction/resistance are recommended. Drinking plenty of water before and bringing water is also recommended.

Haven for Hope Donation Drive

Lambda Sigma will be collecting supplies to benefit the Haven for Hope in Cambridge, which is a family violence shelter. We are collecting new/gently used small toys, coloring books, crayons, board games, playing cards, books appropriate for teens, building blocks, puzzles, journals, and pens/pencils. All donations can be brough to the History Suite in Cambridge Hall, Room 110 until Wednesday, April 4th.

Food Fight

Circle K International and Optimist Club have cordially invited you to a food fight, a competition to see what group on campus can collect the most canned goods for the local foodbank. This will take place starting Monday February 27th and go through Friday March 16th. The event will take place throughout the campus – please drop off all canned goods at the front desk of any dorm main lobby from 6-8 pm Monday through Thrusday with the name of your club on the top of the can, please write with a sharpie. This is strictly donated canned goods within the expiration date. The group that donates the most canned goods will win a $500 Visa Giftcard. So please join us for a food fight!

This event is to bring awareness to Muskingum students as what they can do as individuals that would both be benefitical to them and to the earth. There will be information about future plans to recycle as well as door prizes, a pledge tree where the students will pledge to go green and place their handprint made of chalk on the tree as a leaf to their dedication for a greener life. Once they pledge then they are entered into the door prizes consisting of shirts, waterbottles, brita pitcher / bottles, reusable bags, and more.

The "Snap The Suspenders" event will be on April 25th at 10:50-11:00 a.m. and 12:50-1:15 p.m. At this event we will have: Dr. Hydell, Professor Gary Golden, Kenneth Pease, Trevor Hill, Isaiah Shakespeare, and Max Goldenberg in which each participant will be wearing suspenders. The idea of the event is that each person who wants to snap the suspenders of these participants will pay $1 but will not try to inflict any harm on these people (which is the number one rule). Also all donations will go towards the Business Club for future events, speakers and trips.

Chicago Trip

2012-04-04

The Muskingum Coach company will be running a red-eye trip to Chicago this week, departing at midnight on Wednesday night (April 4th ), passengers will have all day Thursday, April 5th , to explore the city and then sleep on the way back to campus. We will return to campus at 3:30am on Friday morning (April 6th ).

The cost is $40 for anyone interested. There are no classes at Muskingum University or East Muskingum Schools on those days, what a perfect opportunity to visit the museums or go shopping. You will have from 7am-8pm to take in all that the Windy City has to offer. Contact Valerie Smith ( vsmith@muskingum.edu , x8094) for more details or to sign up.

Another option is to take the bus to Chicago but stay there through the break.You are responsible for finding your own way back.

Drinking and Driving Re-enactment with NSO

Don't let the name fool you. This event will be a lot of fun. The nursing students will be walking all guests through a scenario in which each guest will be re-enacting the events that may arise when one drinks and drives. We will take you through as a group (similar to something like a haunted house) so don't be intimidated. We will be having mocktails, beer goggles, remote control cars, giving out a $25 gift card to Circle K, and more. Come and learn some facts about drinking and driving and also to see the nursing students dressed up and trying our best to act. Hope to see you there!
